In today’s fluid driven economy, people in fields like technology, design, architecture, marketing, arts and entertainment can help make a city more innovative and competitive. Some call these people the Creative Class. Others call them creators and innovators. We simply like to call them talented. And one of the biggest questions facing Atlanta’s future is how do we attract and retain more talented people?

Kevin Green

Leadership Atlanta ’06, President & CEO, Midtown Alliance

Kevin Green joined Midtown Alliance in July 2011. Kevin has been a resident of the City of Atlanta for 25 years and has been working for much of that time to advance livability and economic opportunity in the Atlanta region. Kevin was previously Executive Director of The Clean Air Campaign, and Vice President of Environmental Affairs with the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. During his tenure with the Chamber, Kevin managed public-private initiatives that resulted in the creation of the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District – now managing water resources for a region of more than 5 million, and the Livable Communities Coalition – where more than 50 organizations work collaboratively to advance smart growth in metro Atlanta. Kevin also practiced law in Atlanta for 10 years.

LEAD Atlanta ’08, Global Operational Excellence Manager, The Coca-Cola Company

Kim serves as Operational Excellence Global Lead for the People Function and Global Community Connections at The Coca-Cola Company. In this role she has delivered more than $13 million in value as a direct result of driving a culture of continuous improvement and building capabilities for leaders and associates around the globe in alignment with the Company’s long-term strategic vision to develop its people and drive productivity. Her many volunteer efforts, both at work and in her community, coupled with her commitment to personal growth and the development of empowered citizens have gained her much recognition as a leader with a servant spirit. Kim was recently named a Coca-Cola Woman of Achievement by Ingrid Saunders Jones, Ingrid Saunders Jones, Chair, National Council of Negro Women and Retired Senior Vice President of The Coca-Cola Company, at the 2012 YWCA Atlanta Salute to Greatness.
